Tourism

  • Laurentides region.  A mountain range north of Montreal Canada.  European style tourism.  Read about the P'tit Train du Nord Linear Park where you can bicycle a 200KM converted rail bed stopping at inns that were previously train stations.  There are numerous outfitters who will rent bikes to tourists and shuttle baggage between inns.  There is even one bike, canoe, bike offering.  During winter months, the Laurentides, a one hour drive, are Montreal's nearby ski resort.  Comment:  This Web site is awkward to use.  Place your cursor over the words at the top of the screen and you will find the hidden link to the English version of the Web site.
  • Le P'tit Train du Nord Linear Park.   ""Le P'tit Train du Nord", a 200-km bikeway running over old railway tracks, from Saint-Jérôme to Mont-Laurier, it is the longest linear park in Canada."
